New 2025 pharmacy care model
Transforming the traditional pharmacy benefit manager model
Blue Shield has launched a first-of-its-kind pharmacy solution founded on cost transparency, a simplified member experience, and access to more affordable medications. By working with best-in-class vendors committed to pricing transparency, we can negotiate unnecessary costs out of the system to drive greater efficiencies.
While our new pharmacy model aims to be disruptive in the market, the member experience is designed to be seamless. From understanding benefits to switching prescriptions to mail order, the updated Blue Shield portal empowers members with easy-to-find information and effective decision-support tools.
Blue Shield’s digital tools make it easy for members to manage prescription costs and access affordable drugs.
