The energy and commitment of our small business brokers drives our success. We see it. We feel it. And we want to reward you for it.
That's why Blue Shield of California is taking a novel approach for rewarding our producers with a points-based bonus program that rewards you for the outstanding work you do. When you sign up for Producer Rewards, bonuses you earn will be allocated in points that only you can use. You get the full value of our bonus programs; each point is equivalent to one dollar.

Earning points
Who is eligible to enroll in the program?
Independent brokers and active individual producers within an agency participating in Producer Rewards. If a broker is part of an agency, the parent agency must opt in first.
I opted into the program, but my agency hasn’t opted in yet. What should I do?
First, provide your Blue Shield representative with the email address of the agency’s principal decision maker. A member of our team will promptly email a copy of the agency opt-in form for signing.
What products qualify for Producer Rewards bonuses?
Qualifying products will include reference to Producer Rewards. Producer Rewards is for Small Group new sales only.
How will my bonus be paid out?
Producer Rewards partners with the vendor, Achievers, to issue points. For every sale you make that qualifies for the Producer Rewards program, points will automatically be distributed to your Achiever's platform account per the timeline stated in the program rules. Sit back and relax.
How much is a point worth?
One point equals one dollar.
How often will bonuses be paid, why haven’t I received my points yet?
There is a 120-day delay from the group’s effective date for receipt of points. For example, the incentive points for a 1/1/2025 effective date will be issued on 5/1/2025. 2024 renewal incentives will be issued on 3/1/2025.
Is there a limit to the number of points I can earn?
No. There is no limit to the number of points you can earn, and you are encouraged to strive to earn as many points as possible.
My points received does not match my calculations, who should I connect with?
Contact your Blue Shield representative or Producer Services at (800) 559-5905 for more information regarding the commission schedule or other sales issues.
Redeeming points
How do I check my points balance?
In your Achievers account, your points balance can be found on the lefthand side of the screen under your profile photo.
You can instantly access the Rewards Catalog by clicking on your points balance.
When do my points expire? (Achiever’s account deactivation)
Producers have six months to spend points after which there is a one-month grace period before points fully expire.
Can I redeem my points for cash?
No. However, points are equivalent to cash and can be spent on items like Visa cards, gift cards, and thousands of high-quality products within the Achievers Reward Catalog. If you have more than 500 points to redeem, log into your Achievers account and choose the Concierge option to receive personal service from a team member who can help procure items outside the standard catalog.
If I don't have enough points, can I pay the difference?
No. Only points can be used to pay for items found in the Reward Catalog. Achievers does not accept cash payment in any circumstances.
What happens if I change agencies?
If you change agencies, your new agency must be enrolled in Producer Rewards to continue earning points.
General questions
I am experiencing issues with my account, who should I connect with?
Please take the following steps:
Reach out to the Achiever’s member support team by clicking on ‘Contact us’ in the footer of the Producer Rewards login page, at the bottom. There are three contact methods– live chat, email, or call.
If the Achiever's member support team is unable to provide an answer, please contact Producer Services at (800) 559-5905.
I forgot my password or username. How do I reset it?
Navigate to the Achievers Producer Rewards home site and select ‘forgot password’ and you’ll be directed to the page to request your username or password.
Will I still receive a 1099 form?
Yes, you will receive your 1099 form from Blue Shield of California.
Getting started
I completed the enrollment form (DocuSign) – what now?
You will receive a welcome email from the Producer Rewards platform vendor, Achievers, with instructions on how to login.
After you enroll, it will take 90-120 days following your first qualifying new group enrollment for points to be awarded in the platform. After that, points are awarded monthly for additional qualifying new group enrollments.
You will receive an email when points have been awarded.
I received my welcome email with a link to the create my profile, what do I need to do?
If you received an account activation link via email, to activate your account.
- Click on the link in your activation email to go to Producer Rewards and set up your account.
- Set up your account:
• First add your profile picture. Click Upload Photo to add an image.
• Add a preferred name if desired. This is the name you use with your colleagues.
• Confirm your email address
• Create and confirm your new password. Make sure your password is both secure and easy to remember.
• Set up your account security question
- Click Finish to enter your program and see the Newsfeed with a real time view of successes involving you and your colleagues.
Getting Started with Achievers Mobile
To download the app:
- Open the Apple App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play (for Android).
- Search for “Achievers” app.
- Install the app.
To log in to the app:
- Open the Achievers app.
- Enter Producer Rewards’ URL: https://BSCproducerrewards.achievers.com.
- Log in to your program with your single sign-on information or your program username and password.
- Optional: You may be prompted to set up quick login access to your account. The login options include:
- Persistent Login: Stay logged in when you close the app.
- Fingerprint Login: Log in to your account with your device’s fingerprint sensor (if applicable).
- Passcode Login: Log in to your account using a four-digit passcode.
Terms and conditions
- Applicable for small groups (1-100 employees) with effective dates February 1, 2025, through January 1, 2026
- An Achievers account is required to receive and redeem points
- Individual agency producers must maintain active status with participating agency to remain in the program
- Points must be redeemed within six months of the date the points were added to an Achievers account
- Bonus payments will be made quarterly, 120 days following the group effective date
- For new group sales, points are calculated using medical and/or dental, vision, life membership at the group’s installment
- Points apply to off-exchange and mirror plan package sales
- All point distributions are in addition to the standard commission structure currently in place and Direct Elite Rewards Program bonuses
- Brokers placing through general agents are eligible for points
- Any disputes over interpretation of these rules or point distributions will be resolved at the sole discretion of Blue Shield
